Gems

Gems, crystals, and other precious and semi-precious stones are some of the earth's oldest of magickal tools. They are highly powerful, highly specific, and easy to wear as jewelry or carry in a pocket. The following table is a collection of information on the magickal properties of several common semi-precious stons and gems. Whenever the name of a stone is provided as a link it may be clicked on to provide a picture of the stone. Just a word of warning though. Most of these pictures are scanned in from my home scanner, and some are still in their rough, unpoloshied form, so don't coun't on every one looking exactly perfect.

Here's a brief overview of the information provided with a stone:

Folk names: In some cases the actual name of the stone is not what it is/was commonly know as in the present and/or past. Given here is the common name (if any).

Energy: Projective or receptive- projective energy is used to make things happen, receptive energy is used to draw things to the magician.

Planets: Governing planets for astrological purposes.

Elements: Each element (earth, air, fire, water) has different aspects. See writing your own spells for more on this.

Deities: Any deities associated with this stone, usually the best ones to pray to when practicing ritual magick with this type of stone.

Powers: Most common magickal powers of the stone.

Notes: Extra tidbits of information such as simple spells, traditional uses, ect.
